I don’t think anyone ever eats good on July 4th.  Its a time for fun, family and FOOD!  Burgers, dogs, beans and desserts.  Here a few for you to try out if you like!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Ingredients:

* 1 pound ground beef
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 2 ounces crumbled blue cheese
* 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
* 2 slices red onion
* Tomato slices and lettuce leaves, optional

Directions:

If you have never made this, it is so yummy!

Ingredients

* 1 package (3 ounces) berry blue gelatin
* 1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
* 2 cups boiling water
* 1 cup cold water
* 2 cups cold milk
* 2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
* 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
* 1 pint fresh blueberries
* 1 quart fresh strawberries, quartered
* 1 prepared angel food cake (8 inches), cut into 1-inch cubes

* 8 squares (1 ounce each) white baking chocolate
* 1 package (10 ounces) pretzel rods
* Colored candy stars or sprinkles

Ever had a seven layer dip? Well, this is the same thing, except its purty!

Ingredients:

* 1 pound ground beef
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1-1/2 cups water
* 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
* 1 envelope taco seasoning
* 6 cups tortilla or corn chips
* 4 to 5 cups shredded lettuce
* 9 to 10 pitted large olives, sliced lengthwise
* 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
* 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

Directions:

Delightful Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:
* 6 hard-cooked eggs
* 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
* 1-1/2 teaspoons grated onion
* 1-1/2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
* 1/2 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
* 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks; set whites aside. In a small bowl, mash the yolks. Stir in the mayonnaise, onion, relish, mustard, salt, pepper flakes and pepper. Pipe or spoon into egg whites. Refrigerate until serving.

Hearty Baked Beans

Ingredients:

* 1 small onion, chopped
* 1 bacon strip, chopped
* 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
* 1 can (8 ounces) pork and beans
* 3/4 cup canned kidney beans, rinsed and drained
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
* 1/8 teaspoon ground mustard
