Save A Lot contacted me and asked if I would like a $15 Gift Card to go in and check out their store. Well, of course the answer was a resounding YES! It just so happens that I recently became aware of a Save A Lot Store fairly close to me, but I had never been there. I had been meaning to pop by, but just hadn’t gotten to it yet – so this came at a great time.
In addition to the $15 card, they sent me over to their site where I could get an additional $5 off my order for signing up with their Smart Shopper Club. They also have printable coupons on their site, so of course, I had to grab those as well!
Off I go to Save A Lot! First let me say that the first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was a plain jane store – no frills, no flashy signs, no floral depart, etc, etc. Obviously, the lack of these things is the reason they have such good deals!
The produce was the first the thing I went to because I tend to judge grocery stores by the freshness of their produce. I don’t know why, I just always have! Their produce was SUPER fresh and the prices were simply unbeatable. I grabbed a bunch of bananas, some fresh carrots (not those little bagged things) – real, fresh carrots with the stems and all! Then over to the green peppers – I ADORE peppers and use them in everything, but we all know how ridiculously expensive they are. I got (2) very large green peppers for $.98! Yep, I said $.98! I was thrilled.
I continued my shopping trip by going up and down every aisle to check out what they had. Throughout, I was greeted by at least 4 employees – “hello, how are you? Did you find everything you needed?”. I really like that!
I ended up with my produce, a loaf of bread, some frosted flakes, ragu, breyers ice cream and a whole slew of munchies for my hubby - doritos, cheese puffs, cheese crunchy things, lays chips, etc. My total was $25.78, I used my coupons, the $5 off from their site, and my $15 gift card, then out the door for less than a couple bucks.
All in all, I was really impressed! This no frills store delivers!
If so, how would you like $15 to spend there? Save A Lot has given me an additional $15 Gift Card to give away to one of my readers.
